Service

Grace has three primary outreach programs. The most significant in the daily lives of people in our community is our food pantry. This ministry is well used by the community and the shelves must be constantly restocked. We feel this pantry is important because it provides food discreetly and directly to the people who need it most.

Other outreach programs focus on members of the congregation purchasing gifts (at Easter and Christmas) or school supplies (in August) for local underprivileged children. These programs are coordinated by the Morningstar Mission in Joliet, which provides names and lists of needed items. In general, Grace excels at these types of outreach programs.

Grace Church also supports Young Life, a multi denominational youth group in our community, through financial donation.

We feel that we have potential for more significant and impactful outreach. We value outreach programs but lack the resources and leadership to find and coordinate larger scale projects that take advantage of our ministries as well as our money power.
